Our second developing product is a liposome which encapsulates an enzyme related to a certain disease. Though a major treatment of this disease is an enzyme replacement therapy at present time, there are two problems on this treatment. One is that the medication is quite expensive, and the other one is instability of this enzyme in the human body after injection. We have confirmed improvement of stability and extended retention time of enzymatic activity by our liposome technology through animal experiments. Effectiveness by encapsulation above-mentioned can make it possible to reduce amount of drug per injection and extend dosing interval, therefore QOL (Quality Of Life) will be improve. We will move into existing market of enzymatic drugs.
