| Oxygenix has five bases of R&D for drug discovery. |

In this center, our leading product candidate, OXY-0301 is manufactured under GMP for conducting preclinical and clinical trials in the near future and further technological improvements are getting achieved for its mass production.
The research center is composed of the following two units. |
|
| Kyoto Unit 1 |
Production Technology laboratory
It is responsible for improving all processes from purification to the end.
Analytical Chemistry laboratory
Main function of this laboratory is to analyze and evaluate materials, intermediates and final products. To do so, it is essential to establish new methods, for example process and machinery validation methods.
Manufacturing laboratory
GMP manufacturing of OXY-0301 samples is operated in this laboratory. Co-research program with Nipro Corporation has been started for future technology transfer. This GMP manufacturing facility can be applied to produce next liposomal drugs from our pipeline, including second product candidate, enzyme encapsulated liposomal compound. |
|
| Kyoto Unit 2 |
New-Protein Formulation Laboratory
Our proprietary drug design and formulation technology can be applied to next pipeline such as protein-based drugs, nucleic acid drugs and small molecular drugs. This laboratory is in charge of appraising their capabilities. |

| Yokohama Research Center conducts basic research to obtain POC(Proof Of Concept)and organizes preclinical trials. Also it has discovery function for new technology, which could be our technology platform. |
|
1. Biopharmaceutical laboratory
New drug design and formulation technologies are optimized here and when candidate comes up, it will evaluate basic characteristics in vitro.
2. Pharmacology & Toxicology laboratory
Here is in charge of in vivo evaluation on the point of safety and efficacy to clarify drug profile.
3. Bioanalytical laboratory
Samples from Pharmacology and Toxicology laboratory are analyzed and new validation methods are established in this laboratory. |

| This laboratory, which locates in School of Medicine, Keio University, is a base to find new technological seeds from academic field. As the way which OXY-0301 has passed through, the collaboration between liposome technology in Department of Science and Engineering, Waseda University and Bioimaging and modeling technology in School of Medicine, Keio University, has a huge potential to give a birth to a new technology, therefore we believe this lab would bring us next seeds. |
